One time, my sister and I made a big mess in our room. When Mom came home, my sister ran away, leaving me standing there, not knowing what to do. Mom saw the mess and only scolded me. I felt upset and said to her, "Why are you only yelling at me? My sister played too! That’s not fair!"  Mom sighed and said, "Your sister is still young. You shouldn’t play with her like this. You should stop her and tell her it’s not okay."  I suddenly understood. I realized I had made a silly mistake. In the end, Mom said sorry, and we cleaned up the room together with my sister.

有一次我和妹妹把房間用的很亂,媽媽回家後,妹妹卻跑走了,只留我不知所措的站在原地。媽媽發現後,卻只有罵我,因此我不滿得和媽媽說:「為什麼只有我被罵,明明妹妹也有玩,太不公平了吧!」 ,但媽媽卻

語氣聲長的和我說:「妹妹還小,你不應該和他一起玩,而是要阻止她,和她說不可以這樣。」我恍然大悟,發現我做了個蠢事。最後我媽媽道歉後,就和妹妹一起收拾房間。

Teamwork 團隊合作

One day, two of our teachers were going to another school, so our teacher asked us to make cards for them. First, we had to think about what design we wanted to make. Then, we cut out the designs we came up with. After that, we picked a classmate with neat handwriting to write down our thank-you messages for the teachers. Finally, we put the designs and messages together on a big piece of paper. A few days later, the teachers came to our classroom, and we gave them the card we made. We felt really proud because the teachers were so happy, and we were happy, too!

有天我們有兩位老師要去其他學校,所以老師要我們做卡片,剛開始我們要想要做甚麼圖案,接著把想好的圖案剪下來,再選一位字體工整的同學寫下我對老師的感謝,最後再把做好的圖案和寫好的感想貼到紙板上。幾天後,老師來到我們班教室,我們把做好的卡片送給老師,那時很有成就感,因為我們把做好的東西送給老師,她很開心,我們也很開心。

Appreciation/Gratitude 欣賞感恩

Chang Wei noticed that his classmate, Wang Fang, always helped others quietly but was never noticed. So, he shared Wang Fang's good deeds in their class group and encouraged everyone to learn from her. Everyone began to thank Wang Fang, and the class became more friendly. This story shows that appreciating and being grateful for others' good qualities can create harmony and unity. Let's all be like Chang Wei and spread the good qualities we see in others.

張偉發現同學王芳總是默默幫助別人,卻不被注意。於是,她在班級群裡分享了王芳的善行,鼓勵大家向他學習。大家開始感謝王芳,班級氛圍也變得更和諧。這個故事告訴我們,欣賞和感恩他人的優點能促進和諧與團結。讓我們都成為那個樂於看見並傳播他人優點的人。

Being Humble and Inclusive 謙遜包容

Yao Yirong: Hi everyone, let's make our class more fun. Any ideas?

Zeng Yurou: Let's do crafts together. It's fun.

Yao Yirong: Great idea! What do you think?

Zhou Keqing: I like crafts too, but let's also play games during breaks. 

Chen Yongquan: I agree! Games are fun.

Yao Yirong: Good ideas! Let's do crafts and games each week.

Zeng Yurou: Yes, everyone will enjoy that.

Zhou Keqing: I'll design the games. Yurou can get the craft materials.

Chen Yongquan: I'll decorate the classroom.

Yao Yirong: I'll organize the schedule.

The four students smiled and started working together. They listened to each other and made a fun class plan. 

姚宜礽:大家好,讓我們的課堂變得更有趣。有任何想法嗎?

曾妤煣:我們一起做手工吧。好有趣。

姚宜礽:好主意!你怎麼認為?

周可晴:我也喜歡手工,不過休息的時候我們也玩遊戲吧。

陳泳銓:我同意!遊戲很有趣。

姚宜礽:好主意!讓我們每週都做手工和遊戲。

曾妤煣:是的,每個人都會喜歡這個。

周可晴:我來設計遊戲。雨柔可以獲得製程材料。

陳泳銓:我來佈置教室。

姚宜礽:我來安排一下行程。

四個學生微笑著開始一起工作。他們互相傾聽並製定了一個有趣的課程計劃。

Honesty and Integrity 誠實信用

Lin: Do you know what honesty means?

Yang: It means telling the truth and keeping promises.

Liao: Like today, I came to do homework because I promised.

Lin: If you didn’t come, we might not trust you next time.

Yang: Right. I promised to bring books, and I did.

Liao: We should be honest and keep promises.

Lin: And tell others if we can’t do something.

Yang: Being honest helps us make friends.

Liao: Let’s be honest and trustworthy!

Lin and Yang: Sure!

(They high-five and leave the playground,

smiling.)

林育呈:你們知道什麼是誠實信用嗎?

楊心妤:就是講真話、守信用

廖廷臻:就像今天一樣,我是因為答應了才來寫作業的。

林育呈:如果你不來,下次我們可能就不相信你了。

楊心妤:對。我上次答應帶書,我做到了。

廖廷臻::我們應該誠實守信。

林育呈:是的,如果我們做不到的事就告訴別人。

楊心妤:誠實可以交到朋友。

廖廷臻:我們要誠實守信!

林育呈、楊心妤:當然可以!

Our principal's Story

Once upon a time, there was a young man named Joe Li. Joe worked very hard. After he finished college, he became a teacher. He loved teaching little kids.

Joe was special because he kept studying even after college. He read books and wrote papers to get his master's degree and then a Ph.D. He did all this while teaching kids every day. Joe was very busy, but he never gave up.

Because he worked so hard, something great happened. Joe first became the principal of another school. He did a great job there. Then, he became the principal of Datong Elementary School. This is a big job! He helps all the teachers and takes care of many students.

Everyone at Datong Elementary, the teachers and the kids, think Joe is amazing. They say, "Joe is a hard worker and a great principal!" And Joe is happy because he loves his school. 

從前,有個年輕人叫做李世勳。李世勳非常努力工作。大學畢業後,他成為了一名教師。他喜歡教小孩子。 

李世勳很特別,因為他在大學畢業後還繼續學習。他閱讀書籍,撰寫論文,獲得了碩士學位,然後是博士學位。他在教學小孩子的同時做了所有這些事。李世勳非常忙碌,但他從未放棄。

因為他如此努力,發生了一件很棒的事。李世勳首先成為了另一所學校的校長。他在那裡做得很出色。然後,他成為了大同小學的校長。這是一個重要的工作!他幫助所有的老師,並照顧許多學生。

大同小學的每個人,包括老師和孩子們,都認為李世勳很了不起。他們說:“李世勳是一個努力工作、很棒的校長!”李世勳很開心,因為他愛他的學校。
